Absolutely. I'm involved in a Joker/Harley roleplay at the moment, and that story of yours has been quite an inspiration for me in terms of what their relationship may evolve into.

It most definitely has. Actually the other night I started reading through some of your other stories (I was directed to that one after stumbling upon the art inspired by it); I'm intrigued by the way you portray Harley as almost completely unwilling at times, and at others so sweet with him. It's an interesting and awesome mix; a treat to read.

Thanks I always try to change the stereotype image of her. SOme say I make her darker others say I make her to be almost like him What I like to do with her is play around with her reactions and emotions to how he is not always make her defenseless or weak. I do try to give her those moments but sometimes I want her angry and to fight back hell even fool him, lie to him. My theory is that when you spend so much time with someone their way of being rubs off on you so what I make is that Harley can lie, deceieve and manipulate him just as well as he can. I just like to play around with her behavious just like I try with J.

I like that idea of Harley - that she's been around him long enough that she's able to fool and manipulate him practically as well as he can her. It seems to me that he'd be drawn to her (and she him) in the first place because they are somewhat alike in that way from the very beginning. Opposites attract, but personalities like theirs are so rare (luckily for the rest of society) and clash so badly with basically any other that they'd be drawn toward one another - whether they both want it or not. In my way of picturing it, that's where the hatred between them comes from; the fact that they don't have a choice but to be with each other. At least in the Nolanverse context. The animated series is a very different situation with very different characters.

I agree to the fullest! I like to make J actually crave her, the way I see it he's a phisicly deprived guy and from a normal point of view I don't see many chicks willing to jump his bones but along comes Harl who falls for him

I like the way you describe it. No one who has written Joker/Harley (Nolanverse or otherwise) has quite the same viewpoint on it. My own image of it is similar in some ways and different in others. I should note that I don't write fanfiction, but I do roleplay (I play as the Joker in particular) so depending on who is playing Harl and how they portray her it changes my own way of looking at their relationship. With my current partner it's more of a conscious decision on Harl's part to stay with him, and she works to make herself not just useful to him but to make him actively want her around. We like to bring the psychological aspect of it in, and in the way she works to manipulate his mind she's almost more sick than he is even though he's the one who turns her to killing.
Here's an interesting question for you. The way you look at it, do they love each other?

I see what you mean atleats for role playing you gotta adapt to the other style and vice versa. I also love the psychological aspect of their relationship, theres so much to play around with when it comes to that. I always liked the fact of Harley becoming obssesed with him and his ideals just like I find the idea of him becoming obsessed with her and it's highly more likely for him to develope an obsession for her since he is an obsessive type of man. Theres a lot of free roaming when it comes to them and thats just the beauty of it but one has to really work on how to make it not to over bearing and more realistic.
As for the answer of that question, I gotta say it's hard call but I can say yes.
Problem is when it comes to J I see him as the type of person who has a complete problem in showing such an emotion and hence where the violence of their love comes in. I like to make J hate the fact that he even feels any sort of emotion towards her wether it be lust, affection and hatred. The fact that she finds herself in his thoughts irritates him but he had a struggle with her "I want her, I don't want her" and since J is compulsive it's reflect more intensly and violently. She of course loves him that Im sure of and even if at times she runs from him they always manage to fall back in the same place. Their relationship is a power struggle, who can tug the hardest and she can be just as sick, violent and manupulative as he can and I believe thats one of the reasons he likes her so much .
