I use Photoshop elements 7 (cause it's a lot cheaper than CS5) and I'll happily teach you, after receiving so much love for my tutorials, I'm thinking of doing more.

HarraArial In reply to TobyFoxArt [2012-06-14 18:20:36 +0000 UTC]

Oh, please please do~ And Elements VII? I'll have to look that up now. Best Buy and other electronic stores would have a copy, right?

Ah~ I'll look it up then, much obliged~

By the by, is there a group for Skyrim OCs yet? (As in, exclusively OCs?) Because back when Oblivion was out, I started the Oblivion OC Project, and I figure one for Skyrim could work as well if someone hasn't already done it?

Also, I hope you don't mind, but I'm looking over some of your works~ I tell you, I want to make some of the outfits your characters are wearing!

That's fine, I think it's like a typical dA introduction. You say "hello" and then browse their stuff, haha!!
Do you sew as well? I do sometimes.. I'm not that great at it, but it's a work in process.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HarraArial In reply to KawaiPsychoJohnny [2011-11-07 02:30:06 +0000 UTC]

... Point taken, come to think of it~

*Nodnod* Yep~ I sew most of my own Lolita clothing, and if it weren't so easy to find Gothy delights at thrift stores, I'd likely sew my daily Goth clothes as well. ... Ah, oh well, I've got a few extravagent sewing projects in mind, at least~ If you're still learning, want me to point your way to a few easy DiY projects to get you used to the machine/hand needle? (Whichever you use, anyway.)

... *Ahem* Forgive me, I'm a total DiY nut, and half of my bookmarks are tutorials-- okay, more than half. -Way- more than half.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KawaiPsychoJohnny In reply to HarraArial [2011-11-07 02:37:54 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow... a fellow lolita. I also make my own lolita clothing, they're way too expensive for me to buy the brand stuff. (Or even the off-brand stuff). Plus making my own gives me artistic freedom. I tend to go to eBay and buy Japanese lolita sewing magazines that come with patterns. They're so amazing.

And heck yes, I'm all for the DiY, so if you have tips and whatnot, feel free to share and send my way.

HarraArial In reply to KawaiPsychoJohnny [2011-11-07 02:40:57 +0000 UTC]

*Grin* Well, in which case, let me send you a note with some of my finds~

And yep~ Of course I'm a fellow Lolita, Classical mostly, with a few Goth influences. But my heart lies in Classical, I love the colour scheme, and the more mature styles too much.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KawaiPsychoJohnny In reply to HarraArial [2011-11-07 03:18:09 +0000 UTC]

Ditto. I love classic. Mary Magdalene is my favorite brand of loli clothing. I love all types of lolita, but I mostly dress gothic, aristocrat, sweet (not OTT) and classic.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HarraArial In reply to KawaiPsychoJohnny [2011-11-07 07:44:36 +0000 UTC]

YES. I looooove Mary Magdalene! Problem is? I couldn't fit into ANY of it if I tried-- hence why I make my own stuff-- and if I make my own things, I can ensure they're very durable, I'm hard as Hell on my clothes and jewelry and such. Anything I wear needs to stand up to the abuse that is daily life.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KawaiPsychoJohnny In reply to HarraArial [2011-11-07 19:41:34 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if I could fit into anything. I know the hardest part to try to get into those outfits is my bust. At a 32DDD it's hard to find even normal clothes that fit correctly. :/

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HarraArial In reply to KawaiPsychoJohnny [2011-11-09 00:30:58 +0000 UTC]

Holy HELL. First of all, I'm trying to imagine having a 32" ribcage in the first place. It's not ending well, mine's about 35-36" around. (Yeah, most people say "I'm not fat, I'm big-boned", all of my chest problems are my ribcage-- no denying I'm fat around the hips, though. XD )

But Triple Ds? How bad is your back pain, I ask?

And yeah, most of your clothes would have to be handmade, or professionally tailored.

KawaiPsychoJohnny In reply to HarraArial [2011-11-11 00:38:37 +0000 UTC]

I'm kinda tiny anyway, at least.. in this country's eyes I am. I'm about 5'1" and have a very small frame.
I don't know about back pain (apparently I have a higher pain threshold than average) but when I pop my back people stare at me like O.O;; .. it sounds like I just broke my spine in twenty places, lol!!

I've been trying to lose weight or something to get them to go down in size a bit. My sister was doing some exercises that got hers down to B's!! I'm extremely jealous. Unfortunately I don't have the required materials to do those exercises, so I've been cutting calories and trying to improvise. But because of my newest routine I ended up giving myself "runner's knee" (which is a really funny name for it because I absolutely HATE running), it's basically just inflamed cartilage from rubbing against the surrounding knee bones. It apparently occurs in females more than males and usually happens to young runners and athletes. It's extremely painful and it takes a few months to get over.. which I'm very upset about.

HarraArial In reply to KawaiPsychoJohnny [2011-11-17 19:23:19 +0000 UTC]

5'1"? Daaang, you ARE tiny~ ^_~ (Then again, this is coming from someone who's 5'3", so I've no room to talk at all.)

Ohh dear, runner's knee? NOT fun. I've a dear friend who has something like that, and it's painful as Hell. Just rest yourself, okay? Give yourself a knee-brace, and take it easy.

Also, push-ups and most torso exercises tend to decrease breast size by removing the fat. (Of course, there's little you can do to remove the ductile tissue-- other than surgery, which I would NOT recommend.)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KawaiPsychoJohnny In reply to HarraArial [2011-11-18 03:31:43 +0000 UTC]

I've noticed a lot of girls are 5'3". At least a lot of the ones I've met are. They're usually between 5'3" and 5'6". Have you ever seen those commercials about kids riding in car seats? It's slogan is " 4'1" is the magic number!". I hate those commercials because I was 4'11" when I was 19 - 20 yrs old. Ridiculous!!

Yeah I was doing push ups and whatnot (girly push ups where I bend my knees and push up from that point) but because I used my knees when I got runner's knee I couldn't do them anymore. I was also starting to get back into weights.

I need to start doing it again. I just get so disappointed because you can't see immediate results. I'm very impatient when it comes to that kinda stuff.

There's a lot of health things I need to start doing. I'm such a procrastinator, it's so bad. lol!
