# About me
Just starting out, doing development for a home e-learning company using flash animation. Really interested in Digital Art and what can be done. My father was an artist in his prime and has some good works, always was interested from a young age. Now I'm gonna try put some real time into learning how to do digital art using photoshop and the like. Wanna learn the right tools and techniques the pro's use and any help or criticism is much appreciated.# Comments

Many thanks. I use Photoshop in combination with some 3d tools like Cinema 4d, Bryce or ZBrush. My art is not completey drawn just by hand.

I would definately recommend a Wacom tablet with the grip pen (or any other brand should also work pretty fine). Doing Photoshop work with the mouse is not recommendable in my experience. There are a (vey) few commands in PS which are better performed by the mouse but in general the tablet pen is the standard tool for this. With the iPad i have no experience.

Appreciate the response, i'm gonna be picking up a samsung galaxy tab for the holidays, should be fun to mess with at least. I use a Wacom type tablet, its a bit shit though (pardon my french) so i was thinking something a little more hands on.
