While shopping centers are still open, restaurants and pubs and public facilities like sports venues are closed.Β Schools are just a messy situation: the government refuses to close down schools but wants parents to keep their kids home...but now they want to open schools again and push students back to school despite the virus still being around and their dumb rule of social distancing being unable to be kept because classrooms are freaking tiny.Β Teachers are under a lot of stress because most are not ready for this kind of situation.Β That saying so, they're still trying.Β But most people out of a job are either businesses or theater performers.
TL;DR - it's pretty bearable for everyone else, but for schools and businesses, it's a bloody mess.

Never heard about this guy as I couldn't give any lesser of a flying fuck about politics and politicians (especially that of my own country), but if he's really going to prioritize that kind of shit over real life problems like the bushfires, the poor koalas, the Coronavirus, and how real children are dying because of others' ignorance, then well, my country's even more fucked.Β Β Honestly, most Australian citizens actually hate their own politicians (with politics, we just shun it because we find it pointless compared to real life matters).Β
That saying so, good luck trying to stop a bunch of citizens from stopping.Β Anime is growing all over the world, including Australia.Β There are various Australian anime cons that have some of these "problematic" anime showcased, viewed, or with people selling prints of them.Β It's not going to happen, and if it does, there'll be hell to pay by a bunch of people who are either pissed off that they're focusing on such trivial matters instead of stuff that actually matters, or people who are tired of all this censorship bullshit and just want to watch their anime.
