Would it be possible to use your image of a Calla lily for an embroidery project?

Haha, BORING. I miss CTB in general, but especially chance meetings.
But HAHAHA, oh my god. I'm reading this book, and a character just used "Saucebox" as an insult. Lolololol

Saucebox!!! Yes!! That is one of the most epic insults of all time. Even though I occasionally use it as a compliment. haha

Hahaha That is perfect!! Definitely lol worthy.
Oh and I checked out one_manga.com and it is AMAZING! (And by amazing, I mean that I think you have single-handedly triggered my manga/anime obsession all over again.)

Hi Heidi, I seem to remember you were taking a figure painting summer course in Italy, do you have any work from it to post? even if they're studies, I'd love to see them... I'm so jealous I've always wanted to paint in Europe, have a nice day!
π: 0 β©: 1
HeidiCeleghin In reply to veridian-two [2008-09-15 00:18:20 +0000 UTC]
There are 3 paintings that are unfinished. I think I will definitely be able to finish one of them even though I won't have the model to look at.
I've just recently been through a terrible family tragedy that has left me somewhat torn so it might be some time before I am able to put myself together and post them up here on dA. I'll be sure to let you know when I do though!
I hope you can find more time to paint because your work is really fantastic!

I was just thinking of writing to you!
I'm hanging in there - I haven't had much to time work on my traditional artwork but I've done some sculptures on the side. I've just been debating whether or not to post photos of those here...
How are things with you?

You are too kind!
(I am anxiously awaiting the release of "A Dance with Dragons"! - Do you read the books in English or in Romanian?)
π: 0 β©: 1
Otherlander In reply to HeidiCeleghin [2007-09-09 16:35:33 +0000 UTC]
Me too! I read them in English, because they haven't been translated here. Besides, I prefer to read the original versions of books written in English
π: 0 β©: 1
HeidiCeleghin In reply to Otherlander [2007-09-10 22:39:01 +0000 UTC]
Wow! I know that reading in another language can be challenging - especially if the book is very long. But I understand what you mean, reading everything in its original language is always best. (Which is why I always end up reading obscure, old French stories in French ... haha)
What other fantasy books do you like? I've been trying to find something new to read...

Otherlander In reply to HeidiCeleghin [2007-09-11 11:09:25 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I'm afraid I am by no means an expert when it comes to fantasy... There are still so many books I want to read and don't have the time because of having to study... I'd recommend Mervyn Peake's "Gormenghast" trilogy, though I still haven't managed to finish it ... It's masterfully written and has some great characters... R.A. Salvatore's "Dark Elf" trilogy is interesting enough for its depictions of Drow culture, but the author's style is nowhere near the mastery of GRRM or Ms. Clarke
