Did Das_Mervin ever do The Host? Β I cannot find it on her archive. Β She said she sporked 10 chapters.

Yes, but it's not on her own page. Β And her sporking community got moved over to Dreamwidth.

Dreamwidth? Β Is the ariana black spork finished in that magical world? Β It took me so many years to read all this (and Harry Potter was required reading for the spoilers) and I'm finally at her final thoughts in Breaking Dawn.

Not sure. Ariana Black wasn't really something I could handle, so I never checked out her spork of that.

Man, I made it to the end, and *BAM!*, she's really doing a full spork of Life and Death?Β I didn't think there'd be much to say about it, not more than a note of "It's a copy/paste of Twilight with the names and pronouns replaced" and leave it at that.Β Meyer's preface (or prologue?Β Foreword?Β Whatever it is she decided to call it) did make me angry when she so thoughtfully explained to us why Charlie and RenΓ©e didn't genderswap: because a kid who was born in 1987 is unlikely β scratch that, it's outright impossible β to go under their dad's custody in the fallout of their parents' divorce.Β *cough,* I'm speaking as a male born in 1987 who had to live with dad after the divorce.Β Didn't get a choice in the matter, and I had a slight preference for mom at the time.
But other than little things like that, and an overview of the details that deviates from Twilight, I don't see it warranting a whole chapter-by-chapter spork.Β I just got done listening to the audiobook, and it's mighty unsatisfying.Β Toward the end (when a girl voiced the rest of the audiobook that got taken off of youtube), I had to forcefully remind myself that it's not Bella, it's Beau, and he's a dude.Β That's how unsurprisingly lazy Meyer was at keeping up a consistent male voice with him, kind of like how she lazily gave up on Jacob's teenager voice in Book II of breaking dawn.Β And Jamesβ err, "Joss" or whatever β exposited Alice's backstory from the guide?Β What?Β And the Cullens were able to just so calmly explain what was going on with Beau while he was transforming into a vampire... for a while I thought he had already woken up after the complete transformation to explain, but apparently he was totally conscious during that extremely painful process to listen to them expositing about newborn vampirism and the volturi.Β And then the werewolves at the end was just... okay, what's the point?Β Female!Jacob clearly isn't a love interest and this is all going to go nowhere in the very last chapter of the book... did she think there might be some tension that the werewolves might attack them?
But I digress.Β I'm going to take a long break from these before I dive into the Host and Twihard Idiocy.Β She never finished The Guide, did she?Β The youtube videos stop after the Cullen Allies, but she mentioned that she recorded an episode with a guest that I never saw.
