I know why. my skills arent up there yet. I have lots of sketches, but no real polished finishes. I need to get better.
Additionally, I dont advertise.
I believe that rightful recognition is earned from skill, which in it's self stems from hard work.
It is in fact possible on deviantart, to gain a large following by the wanton distribution of favorable comments. There are many artists with no real skill, nor any real interest in improvement, that through commenting and faving have gained a reputation. Ive even see a few people who have no deviations but have a large number of watchers.
Behaviors like the aforementioned create only the delusion of skill, following the logic that "many people watch me so I must be good".
Watches, the attention granted to you by others out of respect for your dedication and hard work should be earned, not whored for.

What an incredible gallery! Your range of styles, mediums, and subjects is completely overwhelming, even to someone who is admitedly sometimes 'all over the place', artistically. I have no idea how you've stayed so well hidden for so long; this kind of work needs to be seen! A watch for sure.
