I'm here to talk about Maxxy for the critique task of Round 11 of OC-training
Now, what can I say that the man himself hasn't already said?Β The Truth?
NAH-AH.
I'm gonna start by talking about the artistry and style.Β Two words, Maxxy-style; Ah-mazing.Β (LOL that came out as Ah-Maxing first time around).Β Your style is clean and clear.Β The colours are complementary and you aren't afraid to 'go big or go home', an essential when it comes to Maxx.
I can probably boil it down to one word.
Bombastic.
You also don't skimp on your backgrounds (a big fail of mine LOL).Β Even simple backdrops are given thought attention and in many cases, there are swathes of detail in there too.
As for Maxxy himself...
Larger than life, living the lie of who he thinks he is, he's a brilliant caricature of a man.Β We've all known someone who's a bit of a Maxx.Β Who's done it all bigger, better and more than everyone else... or so they tell it.
He's such a brilliant creation.Β And you've brought him to life in such an organic way.Β He's just Maxx, there's no other way he could be than how you paint him.Β In the moments I borrowed him for my crossover comic for task 6 there was no thought required as to how he would react... he would just be Maxx.Β To the Maxx.Β And that's a huge compliment to you as a writer/creator that you can implant him whole in our consciousness so completely.
There's only one small area I think Maxx has room to grow.Β One of my rules when writing, doubly so for OC-Training, is 'Everyone is the Hero in their own story, especially the Villain' (or Butt-monkey in this case).Β
Yes, Maxx believes he is the hero, even god-like.Β But.Β But you don't. even when writing him.Β It's a little thing, in fact, it's the only thing, Maxx is perfect otherwise... a perfect Ass 
Even Darth Vader wasn't irredeemable.
Oh god.

Haha, you're right that Maxx views himself as a god-like hero, but I myself don't. xDΒ
I suppose Maxx's redeeming qualities would be trying to help people be "cool" like him, as seen in his dating sim, even though he's doing it in a self-absorbed and wrongful way. He also makes people laugh, as his antics bring people joy and laughter. He's basically an unintentional clown! xD
Maxx is a character who develops in reverse, as in he gets worse through his arc, instead of getting better. xD There appears to be a glimmer of some hope for him, but then when the fame gets to his head, he becomes beyond any hope. I personally believe that there are just some people out there who are just rotten to the core and beyond redemption. Maxx is this person and serves as this harsh lesson to Brad, who tries to help a drowning Maxx, only to pull him down with him.

Hello, everyone!
I'm so deeply sorry to that I had to delay this event for a couple of hours. I recently had my computer cleaned and now I'm back in action and I regret having to start it so late!
Well, the Summer Secret Santa 2019 event was a awesome event we held. We managed to turn in almost gift submission by the time the event came to a end. That event was a huge success!
The week-long break is now over! It's now that time of year decade! With more than 120 days until Christmas 2019, it's now time to move away from the Summer Secret Santa 2019 event. As the daylight is slowly starting to get shorter and the weather starting to get cooler, NOW IS THE TIME<
