I debated doing the JET program at one point, but unfortunately my Japanese wasn't (and still isn't) very good. But maybe someday I'll do something like that. For now, I will live vicariously through your photos.

Don't let your lack of language skills hold you back! I'd say less than half of all JETs know any Japanese before joining the program, and the majority of the ones who know some Japanese before getting on board have only taken a semster or two of Japanese in college or have studied independently.
