Hey there, not to sound creepy or anything - but I was searching Gregory Crewdson here on dA and I saw your image...it was really familiar as my photography teacher showed your juxtaposition assignment to me last week!

haha, the street light was just awesome and random. It's my favourite scene setting now. It's also those couple out of a hundred images you take that are just magic to your eyes.

Well the original plan was to be walking through a jungle gym at night but we got a bit spooked by an ally way that you'd HAVE to go through to get to it so we used a zebra crossing. So we just used the zebra crossing. And the ones with the light shining on it was a random effect out of no where by a street light XDD;
+props were unplanned, the torch because it was dark and the umbrella because it was raining. So yeah, total fluke
Everything else was intentional (kinda).
Art is random and spontaneous, you can take my word for it.

Ah, that's the great thing about art isn't it? It seems like the things we like best are the unintentional ones - not what we were expecting.. Interesting story, it's always cool to hear how much trouble people went through to get to a final image. I reckon that street light made the photo, gave it that Gregory Crewdson touch (:
