I actually did play a lot of Smash. There was a tournament nearby my hometown the day after my birthday, so I took some Smash friends and they stayed the night at my house so we didn't have to drive so far to the tournament that morning. I placed fifth, and I'm okay with that placing. Also, I stayed around most of Sunday and hung out with some friends back home. It was nice.

That's a good song, too. It really fills me with holiday cheer and good will towards men.

Yup! Sorry for my disappearance. I've just been doing other stuff. I've gotten into competitive Smash Bros and I've made some friends in the local scene. I only play Wii U, but maybe someday I'll pick up Melee.

Also I got an internship for the summer. Been working 8-5. I miss having more free time, but it's better than having too much free time, I think.

That's awesome to hear! I've been wanted to get a Wii U myself just to play Smash, but alas, my wallet is empty most of the time. That's awesome you found a local scene too, it's always way better to play with people in person as opposed to online, at least in my opinion. Congrats on the internship too! What will you be doing?

Our local scene is growing, too. We've been inviting some friends lately. Hopefully it keeps growing. We've got a stronger Melee scene, but I haven't really practiced that game. And yeah, playing Smash online is a waste of time. It's not nearly as bad in Smash 4 as it was in Brawl but it's still pretty bad.

I'm mostly just testing an app. Generally, it's IT-related gruntwork, which is to be expected. I'm more interested in actually designing things than just working in IT, but testing is an important part of that process too so it's still relevant.

I haven't played the new one personally, but I have to agree that Melee was incredible, pretty much my biggest regret in trading in my Gamecube back in the day was because I loved that game so much (and Mario Sunshine too). Besides, Smash is a better couch game than online. As much as I love Nintendo, I have to say they really haven't gotten online play down to a T like Microsoft and Sony. Either way, it's sweet you got a hard-hitting gang of Smash players. Also, No items, Fox only, Final Destination.

That's a sweet gig you've got too. Trust me, as much as doing IT and paperwork sucks, it's way, way better than customer service stuff (that's my current line of work 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Oh, hey! Thanks for checking on me! I guess it has been a while, hasn't it? I recently re-installed Windows on my laptop (now I'm dual-booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu), and I didn't save my bookmarks. I kept putting off checking Deviantart to play video games, and then school started again. I think I'm all settled now, and I've got 156 notifications to check up on.
