Word of deep insight there, since it was first uttered over and over again as we watched "Princess Mononoke". A messed up Anime to be sure...
I would explain it to you, but it's long. Oh well, I'll do it anyway. There's this guy named Vincent who has a girlfriend. This psycho doctor blows off Vincent's arm, replaces it with a claw, impregnates his girlfriend with an alien, and procedes to seal poor Vincent Valentine in a coffin, locking him in suspended animation. Hojo is the name of said doctor, the "one-winged angel" is the begotten child named Sephiroth, the reunion is essentially the apocolypse, and the reference to "latter-day summons" refers to Final Fantasy summoning magic.
That's the plot of FFVII quick for ya. Now, praise Hojo!
