It actually made me think back to a story I toyed with writing once, but could never start. It's a lovely composition, and as everyone else is saying; really romantic!

Well, it's a really really unfinished idea, but what I was thinking of was a supernatural romance: there's a guy who is very shy, but his one love is astronomy, then one night he meets this girl. They get on really well, but when he tries to find her the following day, she's disappeared. She turns up again on other nights, but there doesn't seem to be a pattern. Eventually it occurs to him this girl only appears to this guy on starlit nights.

I haven't a clue how it would end; whether they make a match of it, or whether there's an understanding between the two, and they realise they can't be together.

There's also the question of "Why?" the girl only appears on starlit nights, whether she's a spirit or whether it's a curse, or some other such thing. And somewhere in the mix of all this, Astronomy has to be woven in.

I admit it does sound a lot like a load of other stories, but the picture you painted reminded me of a scene from this story!
