Hello world, my name is Josiah a.k.a. Houstontxartist. I'm 27, and I love drawing with pencils. I am self taught, been drawing since a small child, just recently in the past 5 years tried really improving my drawing skill. I don't claim to be a pro, so yes, mistakes will be there. I normally use reference photos, since I like realistic drawings. I choose lots of random subjects to try to learn things such as tones and textures,and for some reason I like working on more than one drawing at once. Most of the drawings I upload will be in pencil, although I attempt different things sometimes, like pens and color pencils. I don't have a scanner for now, I'm taking pics of the drawings(sorry for image quality) I use friends scanners when I have the chance. The biggest tips I can give to anyone also trying to learn on your own, practice makes perfect, and have patience. Don't focus on mistakes, just learn from them, because everyone has off days and makes mistakes. Thanks for visiting my artpage, peace and inspiration be with you.# Comments
