Hey there! 

I've gotta say, I'm definitely the same way (as you may have noticed) and I feel pretty bad about it too.  I was thinking about coming back for DFC (the only thing that brings me back, basically), but I've decided to stop posting poetry here in favour of submitting to journals whenever I can get the words out (read: once in a blue moon).  I should really come back just for the reading, but who knows.  There are still some great poets here whose work I want to keep reading, including you, but it feels kind of weird staying here and not sharing anything, so I just haven't been staying.  I'll probably end up making a new year's resolution to keep up to date with my favourite writers here, though.

That said, your DFC poems look fantastic this year too; from what I've seen, both the organizers and participants have been outdoing themselves, which is great to see.  I hope you're doing well too, and that your holidays are going great!

Aww, thank you!   Yeah, kiwi-damnation really outdid herself this year with the whole "Choose Your Own Adventure" DFC, it was hella fun.  I'm honestly a little surprised I managed to finish it, things were so crazy this year.

And hey, good for you sending your work out to journals!  That's really awesome!  Have you heard back from anyone?  I know sometimes they take a long time to reply, I sent several pieces out last year after DFC, some of which I forgot about entirely until I heard back eight/ten months after the fact.

What else have you been up to?  I hope you had a great holiday season and a happy new year!
