I beat Cid Raines (after quite a few tries though)! C:
Okay, so my team was Lightning, Sazh, and Vanille.
I started the match with Light in Commando, and Sazh and Vanille in Synergyst. After a bit of powering up, I switch Vanille and Sazh to Ravager and keep Light in the same role.
When he guards, I keep the same roles and keep attacking, building up his gage. When he is about to attack, I switch Vanille to medic, keep Light the same and made Sazya Synergist. When he goes back to guard I switch the the attack Paradigm and build up his gage. I repeat these steps till he's staggered where the real damage is handed out (I used the first Paradigm I used in the match to build up Light and kill him). Hope that helped, that was on hard fight. A little before he hits you up, you need a medic to be active so that they heal you while you gain damage.
I don't remember if I summoned Odin, but I'm pretty sure I did. Just summon him when Cid isn't in his gaurd mode so that he can do more damage.
