My son is amazed with your work. Do you make costumes for sale? If so we might be interested in ODST Halo 3 costume for an 8 year old. Thanks in advance.

I'll be frank; I see a lot of cosplay photographs, sometimes good, sometimes average, others -- not so much.

Your props/cosplay/etc are simply mind blowingly accurate. I think that it's some of the most precise SPARTAN armour I've ever seen. Now after seeing your works, I want to take a shot at prop making sometime. Always wanted to be a cosplayer. o v o''

Thank you for the comment I really do appreciate it. You should give prop making a shot, there are a lot of web sites dedicated to prop building, anyone can do it, just takes practice and time

Wow, excellent work! I am currently building a helmet too. I've been smoothing it for months now using body filler and I am close to a nervous breakdown Any tips on a quicker way to model it and make a mold? Modelling clay perhaps?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hyperballistik In reply to Ruun [2013-11-21 13:00:44 +0000 UTC]

Thanks..... I really don't have any tricks to make the build go fast when it comes to bodywork, I found that applying the body filler in thin coats and sanding after each application works best for me, unfortunately its a time consuming process, for details etc you can use modeling clay if you plan to mold the helmet but I suggest using an epoxy clay such as Apoxie Sculpt so when it cures it becomes sandable so you can smooth it out

Hey, I messaged you a while back about wanting to buy a Halo 4 Master Chief helmet from you. I had wanted it for a Halloween party. I'm not really pissed or anything, but I wish you had gotten back to me after you requested me to message you. Now that I'm in no rush to get it and still kind of want it can we please discus a price?

Just wondering, what is your method of getting the scale right within different pepakura files. It seems that we have similar head sizes, brother, so what equation or method do you use? Do you just put the same number in the scale factor slot, and if so, then what number is that? Thanks!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Hyperballistik In reply to 74381 [2013-06-11 03:40:14 +0000 UTC]

I type in a Height measurement, then I check the width and depth measurements basically I have to make all the measurements meet in the middle, it usually works on most helmets but something like the Hayabusa or helmets with long chin areas can throw off the measurements so you have to factor anything sticking up or down into the height measurement, its a pain and just something that you learn from trial and error

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

74381 In reply to Hyperballistik [2013-06-11 04:24:15 +0000 UTC]

Ahh, I see. It's basically the dimensions of your head. It all makes sense now. Thanks a lot for the help! I'm actually working on the helmet now as I check my messages. Almost done cutting and pasting the paper. When I post a picture of the helmet WIP, I'll give your channel a shoutout.

Hyperballistik In reply to 74381 [2013-06-15 01:16:50 +0000 UTC]

That's pretty much how its done I always give the helmet an 1 or so for padding plus space inside the helmet so it don't feel so closed in
