I have two ball pythons of my own and my bf has a baby burmese too. Ball pythons are easy to care for, I actually got a ball python as my first snake. lol Thanks for the heads up though. I have been looking into getting an male albino Burmese for breeding purposes later on.

I usually recommend taking baby steps to get to the larger guys - care is a little tougher (Burmese seem to be more prone to RI than other snakes) not to mention the size, lol! You should see if anyone in your area has a collection of Burmese or other large constrictors so you can get some hands-on experience with full grown giants. First-hand experience goes a long way

Anyway I hope you didn't take any offense to my comments - I've been doing this reptile thing for a long time and I just want to see animals be taken care of 100%, and owners to be safe... So just trying to be helpful Too many Burmese stories popping up in the news lately :/ You should join some reptile forums, they are the best places to learn I could send ya a whole list if you want!

Yeah, that's why I started off with my younger ball python about a year and half to two years ago and I have had pandora (my bigger ball python for a year). So, I understand the starting with baby steps. Yeah, we visit md reptile shop to get feeder rats and sometimes handle and observe the larger snakes they have there.

No, I didn't take offence. I understand the wanting the animals taken 100% cared for and don't worry we take good care of our snakes and any pets we have. we keep their cage temp and humity at the correct temp; we have a hot and cool zone to each cage, as well as, approptiate sized caged for the snakes. We let them swim in the bath tub to help with their shedding, as well as keeping various shedding and climbing sticks in their tanks. We feed our burmese in a feeding tank (not her main tank, we keep that one a safe zone). Also when we have any questions about anything we do research and go to MB Reptile Shop for accurate answers.

Yeah, we're careful with Medusa and keep safe zones for a good reason. We're going to pre kill her food to keep any agression she has down. We have heard the stories too, which is why we're careful with her and hold her daily so she is used to us. Could you send me the list of reptile forums? I'd be glad to check it out, maybe I'll find something out that we didn't know before.

pretty good, just got back from a field trip, it was pretty fun I added to my rock collection although I kinda wish my ipod battery wasn't practically dead for the trip. Other than that I have been working on my garden, playing poker and finishing up projects and hw for the last few weeks of school
