You can start by putting all of your priorities in order- do you need to tell your parents right now? If it can wait, then it's best to let it wait, to avoid unnecessary tension.
I don't know how tolerant your parents are of homosexuals, so you will have to judge whether or not you should tell them now. I'm lucky enough to have semi-tolerant parents (They don't mind, although they insisted that I was a lesbian, not pansexual) so I told them a little after I figured it out myself.

There are many ways to tell them- you can tell them face-to-face, or by form of letter (my choice). Either way, I would write down what I would say so I can be sure to say what I want to say.
