Hey thanks for the comment. No Im not trained. Just self taught. Just got keep at it draw, draw, draw. Draw from life, draw from photos. And with ink, find what kinda stuff you like to do. Like...washes, pens, brushes, spatter...find what techniques you enjoy. Stay away from digital art, well...untill you get the hang of things. Digital stuff tends to make people not understand how things work in traditional art.
All I did was think about how I don't see too many high contrast ink portraits...so there ya go. 
So yeah...advice learn the human form and how everything works. Try all sorts of media. Shit, my may love charcoal. Draw from life, photos, friends, hot girl friend.
Stick with it and take it easy
