Aw, so you didn't get to see Rome after all? That's a wee shame. But yeah, my holiday plans changed quite suddenly as well this summer, I'm suddenly cooped up in the house when I should be hiking my way up mountainsides....as the French say, c'est la vie! Still, I bet you're having a good time on the beach! Holiday pamphlets promise Greece sea water to be the cleanest, purest and bluest in Europe.

It was scary! I was in Anzio with friends when the earthquake struck, so I didn't feel a thing, but the next morning parents began calling us from Rome (where the earthquake was felt) to ask if we were all right. I'm not in Italy right now, I'm staying with relatives in Scotland, and it's scary still because my friends in Rome keep feeling small quakes every day! And so many people died! Of course I donated money and clothes, but that's not enough to make up for what those people lost.

Phew, yeah, I can't imagine what it would be like if I'd lost my home and everything in it.

Scotland is BORING. NEVER visit Scotland. I mean, I visit at least once a year since the day I was born, so it might be that the novelty's worn off, but there's just nothing to do up here! The shops shut at 5. There's no one around after 8 except drunk partiers. It's cold. The food is horrible. Even McDonald's takeout tastes horrible! Ew! DDDX
