Sometimes when walking you'll see shimmers, tears in the air, feelings of deja vu. You can feel a parallel universe brushing against your own, but you don't know anything about it.iGi exists within one of those parallel universe; one very close to your own. There is a world where the generals didn't hesitate before launching the bombs; where the world didn't wait. The landscape is scorched and barrel, and the sky is always black. If the base universe is U-000, then iGi resides in U-003. Closer than you thought, I bet? It was only a few changed minds that led the world to being a barren wasteland.
Intimer Genetics Incorporated was founded before the bombs dropped, as a small off-shoot of the Singapore Turf Club. They raised racing horses, and funded some pretty significant genetic research in the nearby universities. Once the world started ending, and the nukes started falling, iGi turned their attention to more topical matters: creating horses to survive the apocalypse.
As the rest of Singapore fell, either due to nukes or fallout, iGi grew. Their compound covered more and more ground, until they owned the entire island of Singapore. Now, several years post nuke, they are a powerhouse on the postapocalyptic front. Though they do raise dainty horses, for those whose underground bunkers included large stables, the primary focus of their compound is putting out strong, nasty horses capable of trudging through the nuclear wastelands of the world.
The nukes managed to rip holes between the realities of the worlds, and one of these such holes resides in the basement of iGi's main facility. It's through here that horses are transported to U-000 through U-006. Further parallel universe are still outside of their grasp.
