I faved the picture of you successful hunt, the two does. I hope you enjoyed them (they certainly looked like tasty bambi burgers to me! <3)
I want to go on a hunting trip when I can scrape up the cash for it, but I live in the UK and it's about as common as white tar over here, since the ban on hunting with dogs has put pretty much everyone off us active carnivores
I would be taking the kill for the meat, but also the pelt, skull or the head as a whole for a trophy, some bones, possibly the hooves, and edible offal. The bones I might use to make into jewelry or sculpture, possibly that I might sell or at least display here on dA.
But I'm /most/ concerned about being able to make a clean shot or getting into the mindset for a confident kill. I think I might chicken out half way through cocking the rifle, and I'm not sure how to avoid that =/
Do you think you might be able to give me some advice? It's good to see a hunter and animal lover that can reconcile the two without conflict.

I've always hunted, its in my blood! to kill and eat x3. Sadly I've yet! to claim a nice buck worth mounting D;...had one! chance at a hefty 10-point and the rifle wouldn't fire,the firing pin was messed up and wasn't striking the bullets hard enuff to ignite and fire....I was so pissed Dx
Hopefully this year my luck will change and instead of taking does/fawns? I'll get a trophy of my own
