I know we haven'ttalked in some time, but I thought I'd let you know that my Dad lost his battle with cancer yesterday at 4:30 pm. He had been getting worse the last few months but the doctors thougjt he might survive another year or so. But last Friday he broke his arm trying to get out of his chair. The hospital couldn't set it correctly cos it needed surgery to set properly and his condition precluded that since anisthetics could've killed him. So the put a splint on it and gave him another medication. The pill made him erratic. His doctors decided to put him in a nursing home for a week so they could try to get him some rest(he wasn't sleeping well to start with but had been awake for almost a week straight at that point), try to work on his arm which was then very swollen and honestly black, and give my stepmom a break since she was awake almost as long as he had been... he was put in Tuesday evening. And he passed yesterday. At least he is at peace now. I just figured I'd give you the heads up.
