# About me

Muslimah, born in Saudi Arabia in 1986, stayed there for more than 20 years then moved to the Philippines to get married. I am currently a volunteer teacher of Qur'an and Arabic language studies at WISHES school, teaching preschoolers, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I may insha-Allah be teaching Islamic Education to 9th and 10th graders next year at WISHES Islamic school www.wisdom.edu.ph

I used to enjoy drawing images of 'people' and 'designing clothes' especially in my teens, then stopped the bad habit of drawing life-like images of humans and animals. I believe that drawing animate beings is forbidden in Islam as doing so is similar to assuming Allah's beautiful quality of being the Only Creator. When drawing though, for the sake of educating, I exclude the facial features and don't connect the lines so that my drawings don't look realistic.

May Allah guide us to all those good deeds that are beloved to Him and His beloved Messenger Muhammad SallAllahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
