I only know from the one-... I think it's an OVA?- I watched, and then I have a few issues of the manga. Doesn't help it picks up in the middle of the story. I should look for the trade paperbacks. >_>

From the single movie I saw of it, I'm inclined to agree. I came for the fact that Gally was cute, and I stayed for the fact that Doc Ido looked kind of like a steampunk Egon Spengler. XD
