Gosh, you know I found some old drawings of that the other day and couldn't remember what the hell had happened with it. I'm sick at the moment so I can't do anything right now, but that sucks I didn't finish it so I'm sticking it up on the top of my to-do list. I have an RL commish-for-money that I will need to finish first once I'm functional again, but after that I'll do yours. Are there any design changes I need to know about? Also! I have a little toy snow leopard that I bought waaaaay back in the day to turn into Rose for you: would you like me to do that as an extra and send it to you?

Sorry, I forgot to check my DA and even forgot I sent you an message about it. lol Its quite okay. I'm currently trying to get a new reference sheet up for her and I'm trying to get that done if the artist I commissioned doesn't come through for me. Its already been over two months and I'm not sure if they're even getting around to it. Willow is an undeveloped character still which she was suppose to be in the background dropping leafs but I'm completely okay if its just Rose considering. I have a few other characters now but roughly Rose is the same. Her markings are more defined and what not.

Like I said, I need to make her a reference sheet. But you were planning to make a small Rose for me? Aww how awesome. ;3

Oh wow, it looks amazing so far. ;3 <3 And yea willow was the orange cat with white stripes over her chest and red autumn leaf like designs over her eyes. Basically her over all design can be messed with as its not settled. So if it represents Halloween or autumn feel free to add it to her, wither it be branches or leafs etc. Or even if you just want to get her dark stockings like a birch tree and just do a mix of burnt orange, reds, browns and whites. (White stripes at the darker areas.) Just an idea. ;3 That's if you'd like to just add a little detail to her.

Rose's face still is pretty much the same I'll try to pull up the reference information I gave my commissioner.

So I'll go over what I have with her. The very basics to start with.
She's my fursona; which I call Rose. She's a Caspian tiger mix. AKA: She usually looks like a chubby tiger in my winter pictures. You'll see. They're honestly just a bit thicker subspecies from the Siberian Tiger. They're claws are usually a bit longer than your average tiger. And their fur is a bit longer and thicker around belly, cheek tuffs etc. If you need a few Caspian tiger references I can dig them up.

So this is what I have for [link] her pallet: It's mostly done. The only thing I have trouble with is deciding her base two colors. The ones to the right. The aqua and blues because her coat does actually change season to season a bit and its my lame excuse to why she has different shades. I'm not too particular which ones she's drawn in as long as they don't clash too much. It's also been my thorn in the side since I don't have anyone to help me sort out the pallet as the closest person to me seems not to be able to tell them apart. No offense to them of course but I haven't gotten any opinions on the matter. Mine, as long as it doesn't hurt to look at her then good. Originally she was suppose to have cornflower blue fur but over time that fur has changed to those shades among various of my pictures. You'll see once I get to them. You can even pick from them if you find one of their colors more pleasing.

It also shows her more correct fohawk like mane. It's also one of the newest 'references' I never finished with her. But color pallet will vary because of the reasons I mentioned before.

[link] Her Mane from the backside [url=[link] This one shows a good example of her ears (At least the one that is mostly finished) And the long fur that hangs on the back of her legs. It's also a good example of her accessories, the ear rings, necklace and leather band on her tail. Her tail isn't updated in that, nor is the fohawk like mane. The aqua markings on her face are pretty spot on though.

So yes she does have Caracal ears, her tail more resembles a snow leopard than tiger. And she just has a really heavy coat. Her eyes are of emerald, but they're included in the pallet because I know the color emerald is vague.

Both are off her older design, but the back mane on both are pretty correct. She's just lacking the front bangs/tuff.

Something I noticed on most of these pictures is they don't show the aqua spots, just like a tiger spot on the back of the middle of the ear. They also have the tuff on top like a lynx or the caracal. If I've missed anything that you need to know or just have questions, feel free to ask me. I know this is a huge project so I'm willing to throw in the bunny if needed. ;3 I know she's not simple.

Wow that was a long post. X3 Hopefully that'll help in some what and don't be afraid to ask me if something wasn't clear, her tail is striped now. ;3 So any of the references with the three toned tail stripes is her correct one. Also her mask tends to lean more to the darkest color than middle,those are more correctly two different 'highlights.' Hope that wasn't confusing. X3 I just gotta get to bed for work. I'm glad you reminded me of willow! She was a tiger with unusually thick stripes wasn't she, the halloweeny one.

Your pic looks like what I had as a ref actually, so have a gander at this: [link] does that look right?

I will be painting in oils (on gesso'd paper) because I'm quicker and much more capable in that medium. So the painting may evolve a little as it goes, but my plan is to take the feel & movement from the first draft [link] and work from that. I want to give Rose the heavy build you're looking for without making her look stiff like I did last time...

Anyway enough blather I need to get off the internets and start painting!
