Just wanted to offer my own thanks to you guys for running this. It really has been a lot of fun! I myself have not gotten an SS yet, BUT isn't the point of xmas to feel the joy of giving gifts? Its making other people happy that really counts. I'm sure you've been through a lot, having to put up with many complaints etc. But just putting this together and following through and just trying your hardest to make everyone happy was a great accomplishment.

I do think you will eventually end up getting your gift; I had to contact a lot of the back-up artists but the one that has you promised to get it done eventually haha. But thank you so much for the appreciation + thanks, it does mean a lot, really.

I think some of the back up artists just need more time. Really, posting stuff like this doesn't really help, to be honest.
But please understand that in taking part in an SS, especially as one as large as this one, you took the risk in not receiving a picture ... it's really not uncommon, and a LOT of people apart from you haven't received a gift either! You're not exactly the only one. Ash and I have done the best we can to remedy the situation but some people just may not end up getting a gift this year. If you don't think it's 'fair' then just don't participate again.

I'm aware it's February but I've pretty much tried my hardest to get a gift to everyone.
You were not the only one who did not receive a gift! A LOT of other people also didn't, and I was the one who had to arrange for everyone to get a back-up artist. Some of them have gotten a gift from a back-up artist, but many of them still have not.
Please understand that it's a hard task, and complaining on the front page doesn't exactly help. When you sign up for an SS, you take the risk that you may not receive a gift. Yes, it IS unfair but Ash and I have tried our hardest to cater to everyone and unfortunately with such a large-scale project we simply can't account for EVERY SINGLE PERSON. Hopefully your back up artist will come through and you will receive a gift, but if you don't, then I'm really sorry. Maybe don't participate in an SS again if you can't handle the prospect of not receiving a gift.

Like I said in the note, I'm sorry but there must have been a mix up! It's really hard to keep track since over 200 people participated and we also got a lot of notes that said they didn't get anything - you were NOT the only person. And like it said in the journal, you will definitely get an image, you will be assigned to a back up artist.
