I'm doing a training here in UAE in a biochemistry lab
I'm loving it! even though we start at 8am and finish 8pm :P (Lick) - :P
but sometimes we finish by 6pm and others by 9 or 10pm lol

Lol nup our lit review is due mid april >_< and 1 of my supervisors is leaving to go on holiday for 6 weeks and leaving me all alone! So she's trying to accelerate my lab learning atm, which is why i have no time to read! WOW! A biochem lab in the UAE sounds awesome!!! What sort of techniques are u using? I'm doing flow cytometry and abit later on I might create some recombinant proteins. Why do you finish so late!? That's crazy, do u get long breaks?

oh wow you sure must hurry then >_<

lol yea it's amazing but slow .. i mean it took me
a while till i learnt where the equipment were and
how to use the machines (i use 5 different centrifuges lol)
i think the techniques are simple but it's like using
recomb bacteria with alpha, beta or gamma synuclein protein,
express it with IPTG and then purify the protein using
commercial beads .. the experiment takes a whole week!
I also know how to do Western blotting (it's quite different
than what i learnt in recomb dna course lol) so it's just
basic techniques .. i'll soon learn more about ELISA and
probably tissue culture Aww - :aww:

sometimes we do and sometimes we don't but sometimes we
finish at 6pm and then the professor comes and asks each one
how did he/she do and what are the results so that takes time.
sometimes i don't have much to do (just overnight culture) so
i go help the others ^^,

I only put 2 up :P (Lick) My first still life just doesn't come out when I take a photo of it... I think it's my worst and then my colour matching totally failed lol!
