That was kinda my reaction ^^ Although, don't you think that Mr Oum is laying the FF girls on a little heavily? Sure you've got the four most powerful girls from the Team Ninja studios (including Rachel was fun) but with the two most powerful FF girls, equipped with all their magic, then Rikku and Yuna for the speed... and for a little fun he brings in a keyblade weilder? I think that's a little overpowered really...

Hmm, considering the possibilities... they've all been sent off with a partner apart from Kairi, who's lightweight, with a speed/power balance and twin weapons... Actually I wouldn't be too surprised to see him pair her up against Sonia, from Ninja Gaiden 2, but I'd probably see her equally fighting against someone that appeals more to the DOA side of Oum's nature like Kokoro, I can't say I'd see him using the wrestlers, but Christie wouldn't look out of place in Dead Fantasy, and neither would Lie Fang.

The obvious downside of none of the other DOA characters having weapons or having the strength or special ability advantage that the ninjas or Hitomi do is a little limiting for choice. I'd guess that any of them would do, in the sense of a battle-royale like the last two, but 3 is looking to be several one-on-one fights that pit up the individuals, and I don't know who would accurately pair to Kairi. Heck, Rachel doesn't exactly pair with Rinoa, but then again considering she was the only one left at the time was probably the deciding factor.

Meh, all we can do is wait until he's finished, and then be utterly amazed at it when he does
