The one thing I would agree with from your statement is that I need practice, I don't see however why it should be offline though, if people leave constructive criticism when commenting, then uploading pieces to dA is useful (admittedly if they just leave comments that are useless and tell me nothing on methods of improvement, they merely attempt to insult the work, it really is pathetic choosing to leave the comment in the first place).
