# About me
Hey everybody,my name is Jonas Wendorf and I’m a self-taught designer from Germany.
I'm mostly doing retouches, but also some composites.
I enjoy doing my work and try to really understand, why things work (not only how) and I also teach my understandings in little tutorials and private lessons.
Hope you’ll enjoy my work and feel free to drop me comments and emails if you have any questions, critics etc., it’s always appreciated :-)!
Best regards,
Jonas

Hi Jonas, I have changed my mac for a new one and lost your very useful supporting layers actions. Have you got them posted somewhere that I could re down load?
Thanks

Hi Jonell,
usually you can find the download links underneath my YouTube videos in the description, so that'd be in the description here in this case: [link]
However I'm not sure how up to date the action is, so I'm just going to upload the newest version I have for you here: [link] you can use it just like the old one, although the accuracy has been somewhat increased and I've updated some of the groups to fit my workflow a little better.

Hi Jonas, you are a gentleman, thank you.
I have to say I got addicted to your tuts for a while and must have watched most of them. I couldn't believe it when I realised your age, sorry about that. I have spent a lifetime working in print, repro and studio environment and you taught me things I didn't know. I am impressed and grateful.
thanks!

you're welcome and I'm glad you learned something from my videos.
Part of the reason for me to begin making these videos was because I noticed that only a very small amount of technically indepth tuturials existed back than. However I really expected this to a little "playground" for me and some other technically inclined people, so I'm the one to be grateful for the great feedback I get from you and others !
Thanks,
Jonas

I hope it''s not too boring for you, but when I was your age I was working with such things as galley cameras wet dark rooms and safe lights. Final film pos's planned on acetate and masked with rubylith and a scalpel etc. Myself I had an old russian made zenit camera and a darkroom in my mates shed...a lot of memories there! Technology has moved to something completely beyond my conception at that time to where it is now. To listen to your version of how to use todays technology to do much more than was possible back then was very interesting. Your vids were great for me to hear from a generation who have started off from where I got to over the years...and still struggle to keep up
If photoshop is just a playground then I cannot imagine what technology you and your "technically inclined" friends are able to use...
good luck with it though I am sure it is fascinating
Thanks
J

That's a nice story and I actually would have loved to do a little dark room work before, but unfortunately that was beyond my generation
Besides Photoshop I'm a software developer, so I work mainly with different programming languages and try to find algorithms to fit my needs - so basically the same thing I do in Photoshop .

I see, we have developers at work, but I am afraid their world is beyond me.
You would have soon got bored with the old darkroom...too slow It was good at the time though.
I will keep an eye open for any more videos you may do in future.
Thanks for all your help
Jon

Hai!
I have a question..
you don't have to do it, but I do wanna ask.
I have an school project, it's for my exams.
and I'm making pictures op people.
but now I have one picture and that needs a retouch..
but I can't do that, because I don't know how..
so my question was, because you are like very very good in manipulation, if you can edit the picture for me?
you don't have to do it if you don't want to!
but if you do, it would be awesome! <3

Hi!
Just send me your picture and I'll see what I can do
It'd be nice if you also sent me instructions on what to fix, what to leave etc., that makes my job a lot easier!

xLalawonderland In reply to JW-PiXx [2010-12-08 18:53:43 +0000 UTC]
haha yay!
how can I sent it you?
I didn't do the makeup, and I don't really like it but the gold on the eyes and the brows have to stay.
the black lines on the lips doesn't..
uhm, and I think I want;
- her skin way more smoother and that it doesn't shine anymore.
- and her eyes to really pop out.
- and I think the lips need some adjustments..
andddd. I don't know if you can do that, otherwise I ask someone else.
but there is an waterbottle in her hair..
and that needs to replace by Corn..
I don't know if you can do that though

Do you have the RAW image or JPEG only?
If JPEG send a high res version with best quality to an image hoster like: [link]
For RAW images use: [link]
In both cases you should send me the links of course (post them here or use the "Send a note" function for a private message) .

xLalawonderland In reply to JW-PiXx [2010-12-08 20:00:02 +0000 UTC]
it is a JPEG, but it's like to big for the first link.
so I put it in the one for RAW..
I hope that's okay!
here's the link; [link]
Thanks again! <3

JW-PiXx In reply to xLalawonderland [2010-12-08 21:02:14 +0000 UTC]
Done .
Of course it's not perfect (once due to the quality of the original, second because of the time I spent on it), but I think it's okay: [link]
Let me know, what you think
Oh and I didn't add Corn to her hair, because I had no image for it.
PS: The background was replaced because this way it was easier for me to get rid of the bottle. Lots of cheating and dirty tricks in this one .

as I said- krasser scheiß!
Oh... I mean holy crap... whatever O.o
like the way you make things appear kind of supernatural without looking artificial... ehrm if you get what I mean...^^
deep thoughts and great compositions and very sensitive topics^^ *jealous*^^
I'm not even able to handle paint he right way...^^
greets~

JW-PiXx In reply to notonlyinsane [2009-11-10 15:26:11 +0000 UTC]
"Krasser Scheiß" is correct
Thanks for the comment, I guess I appreciate it ^^
Yeah, I always try to make things look at least a bit realistic, total surrealism is not my style ☺
I guess most of the topics are representing my feelings, that's how I express myself and that's what's somehow making them sensitive sometimes
You can't handle paint correctly, but to be totally honest, I can't even hold my pencils correctly and I'd love to ^^ so everybody's got their own benefits and favorites
