It's been kind of crummy rain but we've been in a drought so we kinda need it. I have about 6 pecan trees that are about 2 feet high now and really really need it!

Oh that sounds cool, I love pecans...they don't grow up here very well though (unless they have a more cold tolerant one). We do have a black walnut tree in our front yard though.

We'll probably never see the pecans till we're old and grey! I will have to research how long it actully takes. My husband just planted them last month.

I have some persimmon trees I planted about 4 years ago that are like that...they are about 6 ft tall now and a couple inches in diameter, when I started they were just little twigs. I'm not sure when they will have fruits, but maybe that's a good thing...I'll be too tempted to make some good old fashioned persimmon pudding.

I don't think I have ever seen persimmon or tasted anything made with it.

They are pretty unique, when they are ripe and good, something between a fig and an apricot...if they aren't ripe yet, they are dry and sour and will make you pucker like a super dry wine.

Well I like figs but not much on apricots though sometimes I eat dried apricots. Guess I will have to go a hunting in my grocers and farmers markets see if I find some.

I have so many WIPs it's not even funny. I wrote a piece of vampire erotica on a dare. Submitted it to an epublisher that went belly up a few months later. So 2 yrs down the road one of their editors contacts me to ask me whatever I had done with the story. I said lost it because my old computer crashed and like a dummy didn't back up the finished story. Turns out she still had a copy of my original submission sitting in one of her email folders and she sent the entire thing to me completely line edited with highlighted notes and everything. I am currently working on it. True story. So I am thinking this is a sign I should finish this story! But I also write other genres and poetry too.

Yes quite literally. I operate on odd hours. Short bursts of sleep sometimes. I don't sleep well at night. Can't stay awake when the sun is up sometimes without caffeine. Sometimes too much sleep just makes me more tired. I've been known to be awake 24 hours or more running on less than 4 hours of sleep. Habit. I've been like that literally all my life even as a kid.

I wasn't like that as a kid for the most part, but it has gotten worse with age. I usually get about 4 or 5 hrs of sleep each day through the work week and then crash on Saturday. Sunday I'm up and at em and ready to take on the world again.
