Ya Valve is located in Bellevue Washington... I live on a nearby island.
Half life 1 is kinda dated in a graphical sense (lol was cutting edge when it came out...)and also a lot sidestories connected to it (like Opposing Force which is pretty good too). It's a pretty fun game (but there's not much storyline in it, more aliens and guns if you count Opposing Force) but you don't really have to play it to understand what's going on in Halflife 2 ... Which is sorta new :\ but not really.. It's a long series but I feel it's definitely worth it.

o hey, haha, i forgot some of what you were saying earlier, but i ended up getting the halflife package on steam cuz it was on sale! i haven't played it yet, cuz i need to install some program or other to get windows running on my mac XD but i see what you mean by a long series, there are a bunch of items in the pack... are they all actual individual games? o_o haha

hehe halflife is a long one then halflife 2 is not quite as long... then the episodes are even shorter.
then there might be the halflife2 demo tossed in or something...
I can't judge the games length very well because It took me a VERY long time to finish halflife... (I was like 8 when I started playing XD)

haha, well, i've never had a game console, and only relatively recently got Steam, so i haven't been playing games too long. i'm still not done with half life. o.o i totally thought i was close to being done, but then it turns out i wasn't XD
