I know. I'm sorry.
I have been working on your stories, that's for sure.
But I've been a little down as of late. Things have been... "unsteady"... between me and Lissi. They're improving, now, but still uncertain. But I've been in a really bad way, emotionally, ever since. Also, things are quite rocky with my nephew situation, too.
I'm doing my best. And work continues on your story, between work on my own novel from time to time, trying to mend things with Lissi, and trying to fend off my urges towards insomnia and emotional eating. (I really think I was supposed to have been a girl ._. )
Just feels like I'm crumbling, some days.
I'll be okay, though. Gotta stay strong. As my clan motto says, "dulcius ex asperis"; Latin for "sweeter after difficulties".

Oh, my, I think I have too much on my plate. But I'm still going to finish those stories. I promised I would, and in fact, I insist on it. But I think I just need to put one or more other things I'm working on on the back burner, to lighten my load.
I'm going to send you a Note with my real name, since you seem a bit curious.

I knowwwwww! I'm so sorry
I've just been, like, uuuuuuber bogged down by stuffzzzz! Big date with "Lissi" ( ) tomorrow. We've decided to make our relationship known to others, now, so, that's all fine and good.
By the way, guess what I just found out...
I'M BRITISH! I'M ACTUALLY BRITISH! (Scottish, Irish, Welsh, German and French, too, but) Yes! British!
It's true! Kinda. I'm not "full blooded" British, that's for sure. But! My 4th Great-Grandfather (my father's mother's father's mother's mother's father) was one "William Hall" born somewhere around 1793 in... DEVON, ENGLAND!
All this time, I was wishing I could go to England, and soak up the culture there... It's already in my blood!
Anyway, I promise, I will get those stories done. I've just been swamped with important obligations, as of late, and things are in a bit of a state of metamorphosis right now. But, to encourage you; I have done some work. So work has begun, and I'm "not not" working. It's just taking longer, 'cause of my personal affairs that have had me tied up a bit.
Anyway, life IS good, and those stories will be done in due time. Oh, my, I need a break.
By the way, I have a Kobo e-book reader, now, that also doubles as a wi-fi tablet. (I won a $200 gift card at an electronics store, and bought that with it).

I am working on them. Kinda. I'm trying to plan out the plot of the first one. I have a general idea for the second. But the first one I'm a bit indecisive about. I'm trying to decide from which character the perspective will be, as well as what the time-period will be. I also want to be cautious not to conflict with anything in your story, or, heaven forbid, even upset you/offend you. Right now, I'm in the "thinking it up in my head" stage. Maybe - if it's all right with you - I can write the "continuation" of that "what if" story you wrote ages ago about Adam finding out Hettie had survived. Maybe it can be about the beginnings of "starting again". And maybe, in this case, as much as Jamie and Abi would've wanted their mum, they still feel a bit - awkward - having their mum who they thought was dead just suddenly be there, and alive. But I know that may also be something you want to write yourself, and I wouldn't want to take that away from you.
In any case, at this point, I'm just trying to decide on plots, time-lines and perspectives.

you're so sweet, you know that?X)
i'm difficult to offend or upset, so you really don't need to worry about it you're doing this for me as a gift, so i don't mind if it's wrong or the ages are muddled or the time period is confused, because it's just kind of you to do it in the ifrst place please don't worry about if it conflicts with things in my timeline, because, well, you're not writing that, are you? you're jut being kind by writing like, a preset, for me it doesn't have to be big or perfect and do not feel like you have to worry about timelines and all that rubbish because i don't care
unfortunatelyyyy that is kinda something i've been wanting to do myself though it is a lovely idea i have half of it planned out
but really anything from a not "what if" idea is perfect (only 'cause it's such a tiny thing).
don't worry about timelines at all or anything (adam is an easy perspective, though you obviously don't have to do himx))
it can be totally random, i'm not expecting a momentous piece of work that's like, amazing and perfect with my story, because you don't know it like it do, so it's NOT a big deal don't feel you have to consider timelines, you DON'T, ok?

All right then.
I guess I'm kind of just my own worst enemy from the way I always strive to excel in what I do. It's just who I am, I guess.
Hettie's sister is still around after Hettie's death, yes? (What was her name again?) Maybe I can try to do something with her suddenly popping up by surprise.

That is absolutely awesome.
I'm a big fan of realism in stories.
I'm writing a novel, right now, called Hidden Legacy.
Hidden Legacy's concept is just a little-bit far-fetched, so to speak. But it's definitely something that could happen to real people.
Hidden Legacy is about Roy Taylor, a 28-year-old man whose 24-year-old girlfriend, Lilly Stewart, has just discovered herself that he has a 10-year-old daughter, Tori Fletcher, by his high school sweetheart, Wynnifred, who died 10-years-ago - the exact same day Tori was born.
Little does Lilly know, Roy has no knowledge that he even had a child with Wynnifred. As far as he knew, Wynne simply died from her terminal illness.
Turns out, Wynnifred's parents - Tori's maternal grandparents - found out about Wynnifred's pregnancy before Roy did. And they already hated Roy quite a bit. So they essentially "abducted" Wynnifred during her pregnancy.
When Wynnifred died hours after Tori's birth, they simply hid all details of Tori's birth from the obituary, and neglected to inform Roy in any other manner.
Tori, at first, is raised by her maternal grandparents. But they eventually become abusive and neglectful. Soon the abuse is discovered, and Tori is removed by Child Protection Services. She is then fostered out to a foster parent named Emma.
Emma, being a bit of a more aged woman, reaches out to a volunteer youth mentoring charity, and finds a young woman to mentor little Tori.
That mentor ends up being Lilly Stewart.

I'm also fan of realism in art. My stories put pressure on daily life of high-school students in Poland - mostly on their school and family life and relations between them.

mi badi vrit.
(That's actually only my own personal reconstruction, but if my research is correct, that would be Ancient Irish for "My gratitude to you", or "thank you". However, Ancient Irish is extinct, and less than a dozen known words remain. What I've done here is merely a personal reconstruction by comparing already reconstructed Proto-Celtic, with the still surviving Old Irish. Ancient Irish came after Proto-Celtic. After Ancient Irish came Old Irish, then Middle Irish, and finally Modern Irish. Modern Irish then stemmed off to create "Manx" - spoken on the Isle of Man - and "Gaelic", spoken by the Gaels of the Scottish Highlands).

Thanks.
I got what I wanted already, actually.
I got a Celtic Astrology pendant (my sign is "Tinne"). It's the one you saw in that photo.
And!...
I GOT PROMARKERS!!!!! I got the #1 pack of 12 basic colours + 1 blending pen. I've already been practicing using them. I also got a special art paper pad which one of the art store employees said would work best (among their other products) with ProMarkers (and I must say, I have to agree).
My aunt is also holding her birthday party on the 14th (two days from now. One day after my b-day. It's the only day she could hold hers). She's having it at our place. I love this one particular aunt, but some of my nastier relatives will be visiting. And since it's MY HOUSE... I'm gonna wear my kilt, whether they like it or not!
In fact, there was a recent article in the newspaper about a local man in my area who has decided, since last October, to wear a kilt EVERY DAY, no matter what the heck others say. I might follow his example.
Should be fun (and can't wait to really get started with these pens).

i never use a blending pen, actually i got one with my copics and i only use it for bedsheets (like blue into white) but apart from that..never.. so tell me how useful you find it 'cause i blend without that
is it good paper? i've never really bothered with all that stuff 'cause i've found over the years that any paper looks good if you can use them wellX) but tell me if it's good
wear what you wanna wear, man
they're lovely, enjoy them i have 5 pictures that need colouring in

In the store I got them at, they sell them in packaged sets, each with 12 colours and 1 blender. There are 2 sets of "basic colours", 1 "blending set" of "vivid colours", 1 "blending set" of "pastel colours", and 1 "blending set" of "muted colours". I got the basic colours set #1.
Aside from the blending pen, my set came with:
Henna
Ruby
Bright Orange
Canary
Lime Green
Forest Green
Sky Blue
Indigo Blue
Amethyst
Rose Pink
Cool Grey 4
Black
The #2 Basic Set will be my next goal, which comes with:
Walnut
Umber
Soft Peach
Primrose
Lemon
Arctic Blue
Cobalt Blue
Fuchsia Pink
Cerise
Pale Pink
Almond
Sunkissed Pink
The muted blending set comes with:
Tulip Yellow
Soft Green
Blue Pearl
Purple
Antique Pink
Cinnamon
Buttercup
Tea Green
Cornflower
Orchid
Dusky Rose
Caramel
The pastel blending set comes with:
Satin
Apple
Powder Blue
Lilac
Baby Pink
Tan
Vanilla
Meadow Green
Pastel Blue
Lavender
Pale Pink
Putty
The vivid blending set comes with:
Gold
Olive Green
Midnight Blue
Aubergine
Burgundy
Burnt Sienna
Sunflower
Pear Green
China Blue
Plum
Crimson
Burnt Umber
The paper is actually very good. The one I was recommended and sold was the Canson Artist Series Marker Pro Layout pad, which was only about $10 at the store (about £6.30). Canson is a French brand that has been established since 1557. The pad I have has 50 9"x12" (22.9 cm x 30.5 cm) sheets, is a nice bright white colour, has a weight of 18 lbs (70 g) per 500 sheets (3/100th's of a lb per sheet, or about 1/10th of a gram per sheet, making all 50 sheets weigh in together - without the cover and backboard of the pad - at 1.8 lbs, or 7 grams).
The paper is "semitransparent", but still strong and sturdy. It works amazingly with pencil, pen and marker, and is specially made so that solvent and alcohol based markers (such as Letraset Promarkers) will NOT bleed through.
I've already tried my ProMarkers on this pad, and I have to say, I'm VERY impressed. Not one bit of bleed through, no smudging, incredible blending. No complaints at all.

James-R-MacAdie In reply to KazTheConverseLizard [2012-07-13 20:17:35 +0000 UTC]
Certainly, you don't need good art products to make good art. But it definitely helps the "finished image quality" (but of course, not the quality of the drawing itself) when the pens blend so beautifully, and don't bleed, and the paper allows for better pencil-mark transfer without causing "dents" in the paper (I hate pencil dents in my paper. ._. I don't know my own strength, sometimes, so I often end up pressing too hard without realizing it ). It's nice when the drawing itself is nice (thanks to one's own talent), but also has a smooth, clean "look" because of good quality paper.
They don't sell the 3 packs or 6 packs at that store. But they do sell the individual pens at the store I went to in maaaanny different colours. But the price ratio is much more inflated for the individual pens. 12 individual pens bought separately at the same time would come to $55 (about £35, rounded up to the next highest pound), whereas a pack of 12 +1 blender costs $40.19 (about £25.50, rounded up to the next nearest half-pound). So you're saving roughly $15, or roughly £10, getting a pack of 12 pens + 1 blender.

Yep. Wynne was a shorty. But don't underestimate; she was tough as nails! She'd bust a guy's ribs with her fist in one blow if she had to. And if she had to, she wouldn't hesitate, either.
And yes, absolutely, I will. I apologize I hadn't earlier. I wasn't even that busy. But I've completely had the biscuit (Canadian slang; "dead", "broken", "spent") ever since the soccer competition this past weekend. Ugh. Man. I've never been pushed so hard in three days in my life. 2 games the first day, 3 games the second day, and 1 more game the third day. Tied one of them, lost the rest. But gave 'em hell trying.
But yeah, I've just been... Exhausted. Call it what you will - "had the biscuit" or "knackered" - I think you get the idea.
