How do you get the mountain terrains? I have figured out the snow, so that is no problem. What I am mostly looking at is shape of the mountains. Their peaks, the shape of the way they slope down, etc. Did you manually sculpt those, or are there certain settings in the "terrain genesis" that gives you that kind of look? Or maybe something else I don't know about yet? My mountains are too rounded... there isn't enough craginess in them or something. Oh, it gets worse when I try and hand sculpt them.

If you need an example: [link] (hope the link works)

Wow, these terragen renders are stunning. It makes me feel like a noob (oh wait, I am ). Really nice work with the texturing esp. in the water and stuff. Keep it up (and I need to find some more tutorials...)

Thanks for the comment! Well I started out as a n00b (and still consider myself one). It took me hours of experimenting (and a new faster computer ) before anything reasonable came out. There are a lot of terragen artists on devart, try to learn from them the same way I also learnt from other artists

Well thanks... I guess

Well I don't deserve any credit for this avatar, since I just ripped it from someone who ripped it who ripped it from someone else who then ripped it from..... anyway I just selected it and didn't create it

Hmm you really shouldn't put one of Destiny's photographs under your rendered stuff, it makes it look really bad. I'm not saying it is, it's more a compliment towards Destiny I guess...

Dexter.... LOL
What you should do is taking a photo of a sky and pasting it above your landscapes, the terragen skies aren't good enough....
