Wow! The Neighbor button says we're about 15 miles away from each other, although I'm not sure I trust it. It had to ask me twice where I was x.x;;

LOL. I'm glad to find that I have some deviant neighbors. Everyone here's so friendly. Though I feel like the biggest hick when someone asks me 'Tulsa? Where's that?'

XD The other day someone asked me if I shoot Indians in my spare time. Another asked if I lived in a teepee.

I actually live a bit north of Tulsa. You know where Owasso and Claremore are? Little farther than that and you've got my stupid town. Goes by the name of Oologah.

Haha. Actually, I live in Claremore, so you literally are my neighbor. I know what you mean too. Someone from New York once asked me if we still drive around with horse and buggies. The sad thing was that he was totally serious.

slkjfs COOL NEIGHBORS
It's not fair, all my friends are part Cherokee, but my parents are from Texas, so no Indian blood for me What's ironic is my ancestors actually SENT the Indians on the Trail of Tears in the first place.

That's kinda...depressing. You're people forced my people out of their lands j/k I'm like 1/600th Cherokee or something like that. Not really much but I guess it counts cause I get free stuff from the state Except for that I'm a full-blood Celt. My family's from Ireland and England. Makes for interesting family reunions. hehe

Oooh! I love Celtic music! My mom tried to get me some once but she got me a tape of it. I have no tape player >.<

JaydeFox In reply to queenesther [2006-03-01 02:57:39 +0000 UTC]

Haha. It's kinda hard to listen to a tape when you have no player, ne? I love Celtic music as well. The fiddle in some of the songs just appeals to me. I would personally recommend Loreena McKinnett and Enya; not that new wave stuff that you'll hear on the radio by her, the good stuff on her cd's that's in Gaelic. Like 'Dan y Dwr'. Riverdance music is awesome too. If you're going to check out Loreena's stuff then I would recommend 'Book of Secrets' (I'm 98% sure that's the name :

I was just going to get a CD at Wal Mart XD You know those CD display things they have in random isles where you can listen to samples of the CD's? Well, that's where I saw it

Sweet. I havn't listened to any of my Celtic cd's in a while. I have to be in a certain mood anymore to listen to them. I'm too hi-strung to listen to the mellow stuff and that's generally what I like to hear. Maybe I'll calm down...one of these days...

Okay, off the Celtic scene for a moment; you have GOT to check out a band called Shiny Toy Guns. They are in one word: AMAZING!!!!!! A friend from work went to see them at the Venue Friday in Tulsa and she burned me a copy of their cd. I'm just a little obsessed. lol

Isn't it? I recommend 'Le Disko' or 'Stripped'. Of course, 'Stripped' is a cover of Depeche Mode's song of the same name. It's amazing.
