So, who is your favorite character in the Lord of the Rings and why?

Well, in the movies I absolutely adore Legolas!
I enjoy Legolas more inside the movie because I've always adored the elves and I love his friendship with Aragorn and Gimli. But in the books his character, while still awesome, is a little less developed and he almost scares me when he goes into battle... though I do still squeal whenever he shows up in the books. ^_^;
I also really love Elrohir, Elladan, and Glorfindel. Though I'm not entirely sure why I enjoy them so much. I also really like Haldir because he's soooo smug and arrogant.
I'm also a hard core Eowyn fan. While my friends would dress up as princesses when they were younger I would dress up as Eowyn. When I was younger I wanted to be just like her. I thought they portrayed her well inside the movie as well.
Yes. I like waaaaay too many characters! But when it comes down to it I think Legolas is still my favorite character.

I always thought the Father and Son thought was really cute. Especially with Thranduil and Legolas.
I can't really remember if Legolas' mother was killed or if she was alive. But imagine a family photo of them. That would be cute, wouldn't it?

Tolkien never mentions his mother. So a lot of people assume she's dead or has gone to the grey havens. But I agree that it would be adorable! (the portrait)

I'm pretty sure! I mean... I've read like a billion Legolmances. It's not that I want to be with him or anything. I mean I'm married now so that would be extremely awkward since I'm gonna go see the second part of The Hobbit with him. But I just always enjoyed his character. I think he's one of the most sought after character though. Right beside Haldir, although half of that could be because Haldir died in the movies... I dunno. Seems like all the character that were taken out (Elrohir and Elladan) possibly could have had a bunch of Fangirls too. I think the main thing is how he was portrayed in the movie though. Which is why I love him though! But my personal favorite version of him is him with his father Thranduil.
