In a work of fiction, canon is any and all materials presented in a fictional universe that are deemed official to that universe, including the laws of that universe.
In the bible, canon is a collection of books/scripture that are deemed official/true.

Also, I'd like to take the time to appreciate your enthusiasm about Christianity. I hear so many people bashing it all the time, and it makes me sad :/ It's nice to know that there are still people who stand up for it and want to spread it. Not all Christians are jerks, and I wish more people would see that.
