Thanks for the recommendation, I pulled it up and am going to start reading it before I go to bed. The link worked fine by the way.

I found two new stories for you, both centered around IWTB.
The first is called "White Board" by Amal Nahurriyeh.([link] ) I've never posted a link to LiveJournal before so I hope that works. I have to say I think this story is one of my new favorites! It is both sweet and giggle worthy, a winning combination in my book.

The second is from that Pic Fic archive I gave you a link to a while back. Remember how I said I had yet to find any IWTB stories with Will in it? Well, I found it! It's called "Beating the Darkness Back" by Anjou ([link] ). Admittedly he's not in it for long, just a little bit at the end, but it's enough. I love this portrayal of Mulder and Scully. It shows a more playful side that is so rarely seen, while still being melancholy enough to be believable. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I'm hoping she'll write a sequel, so we can see more interaction with Will. That would make my day.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying the book much. Although I have to admit I don't think it's one of his best works. I understand some of the nuclear stuff, but most of it is nonsense to me too, so I don't blame you there!

The direct link didn't work, but I looked under the properties to get the title and author. So by using the Gossamer search I found it anyway. XD

I really like this one. It's very sweet and romantic. I loved how the always articulate Dana Scully was reduced to muttering "wow" over and over. And Mulder, for being so brilliant, sure can be an idiot at times. I wanted to shake him and say "of course she wants you to stay, you dolt. She just had your baby, for pete's sake!" This was well written, and nicely in character. I don't really think they are the type of couple to say 'I love you' (Scully only says it indirectly in IWTB), so I felt that a kiss was a perfect answer for them.

P.S. I loved the little squeak William gave when they were kissing. Adorable!

I'll admit, I am a sucker for kidfic. William is just so cute! And Daddy!Mulder can be hilarious!

Funny, how the guy (Whetmore) was so full of himself. And annoying (for Scully) that Mulder was so self confident! But it was a laugh.

Yeah I know he was a stereotype, but I always find it fun looking at Mulder and Scully through someone elses eyes.

I'm sorry you're back at work. I have to got back to school nextweek, so I know how you feel.

In the meantime I found yet another fic (I'm on a bit of a roll). This one is a bit more on the angsty side, but it's still very sweet. It's about what happened during the IVF treatment. It's called "Domestic Inclinations" by Gwinne ([link] ).

I've also found this wonderfull new site that has a bunch of IWTB stories. I don't know about you but I've been having trouble finding these kinds of stories, so I was really excited to find this. The site is called ' Pic Fic' ([link] ). Just a note: the pre-movie section is all stories that were written prior to the release of the movie. It took me a while to figure that out I thought it was referring to the time period that the story took place in. Enjoy!

Hey, I read the "Domestic Inclinations" - fic. I liked it. It was sad - partly - but well done.

The Pic Fic site is a nice ressource, too, though I haven't read a fic there yet (I clicked on some, but since you got me into that kidfic stuff, I find them all too angsty and sad). I'm just not in the mood for sad stuff at the moment. I'm gonna try find something light, maybe a combi with romance and humor... I'll let you know if I found any good ones.

I know, it is rather heartrenching. I love the idea of him sitting in a meething doodling baby names, but it breaks my heart to think that she's losing the baby right when he has so much hope for it...

I'm glad you like it. I've read a few, but have yet to find any where they get William back.

I read something HILARIOUS the other day...it's called "Team Building EPILOGUE: Rollover Minutes." ([link] )
It's probably really confusing if you don't read "Team Building" (both by JL) before hand, but you can try if you don't want to read the whole thing (although it's an interesting read in and of itself).
I think Maggie Scully is a little out of character, but it doesn't affect the comedy. It's just a cute piece with Mulder and Scully being playful, not to mention bickering like an old married couple...XD

Yeah it's a beautiful story, and perfect for the holidays! I love the characterization, I think it's one of the best I've seen. The moment when Mulder and Scully are standing in the living room alone, and Scully slips her hands into Mulder's back pockets is lovely. It's exactly how I imagine that they would act together.

Mulder and William moments are so sweet, especially since we didn't get any in the show. I also love that Scully had a craving for sunflower seeds while she was pregnant, that was so sweet!

I don't know, what do you suggest? I haven't had time to read any lately, have you? Any good ones?

I know. Booth and Bones are so much like Mulder and Scully sometimes it's almost scary. Although hopefully it won't take 7 years before Booth and Brennan do something about it. Although they've already kissed once, so they have a headstart there.

And I just love that there was actually an X-Files reference in the first episode of Bones. Squee!
