Haha, it's okay. I do go back every year to visit my family. Usually in the spring. ^^ I really enjoy it. I always miss the beer, kaiserschmarn, leberkaes, kebap, weisswurst, the fairs, the markets, the ability to walk everywhere (there's very few places in america you can just walk to, lots of driving here), etc etc etc. And of course I miss marienhof and verbotene liebe ^-^.

maaa..it's so interesting to learn about other people's lives!^^
my home country is argentina!
i came to germany with my family when i was about two years old!
the flight to argentina is very expensive!
i was only one time able to pay that!
this was two years ago!
i visited my whole family there!omi,opi,tante....
most of them knew me only as a baby XD
they nearly did not recognize me!^-^

Yes, it is very very different.. Different work, different priorities, different schooling, different cars, different TV, different morals and values and lifestyles, different sports and food and clothes and pretty much everything. I save up the whole year just to buy the flight ticket to Germany (usually around 700-800 dollars), but I live at my Oma's, so I don't have to pay for hotel or transport or food or anything, so it's not so bad. It's too bad you can't visit your family more often. Maybe when the economy evens out things will be more affordable!
