# About me

I've been in the US Navy for 12 years and I'm gonna try and stick it out for the next 8. why, you may ask? Retirement, that's why! I can get a retirement check at the age of 41, just in time to start another career. I'm an Interior Communications Electrician on board the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74). Right now I'm working on my teaching credentials and I hope to teach college or high school photography once I retire from the Navy. I've been shooting seriously for about 3 years now, although I have always loved photography. I am proficient in the use of Adobe Lightroom, an amazing RAW processing software, and I often give Lightroom training lectures at Olympic College to the students in the photography program.

hey, i´ve just read that you want to teach photography somewhen. well i really hope your dream gets true, cause i always wished i would have had the opportunity to learn it from somebody. Aww Aww Aww Aww Aww
it´s quite hard to learn everything by doing, without having someone to help you Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy Yummy , so i hope you get the chance to help kids having fun with photography =D (Big Grin)

Yeah, I would really love that and I hope I get the chance... of course, I need a TON more practice myself in order to be able to do it with confidence, lol. But it's an amazing thing, photography; as a hobby or a little more serious... Thank you, I hope it comes true too Headbang! and, you know, it's never too late to take a photography class or two... I thought (the key word is "thought") I knew a lot more than I actually did until my photography professor showed me otherwise, lol. and that was just in the beginners class! lol...

Thank you! Laruie is awesome, I totally love her as a teacher and mentor...she has taught me more about photography than she will ever know. I took a look at your B&W shots you have in your gallery and you have some really good work. I especially like "broken on the beach". VERY good composition on that one...

Thanks. It's great hearing feedback from someone who actually knows what they're doing. All the photos I have up on DeviantArt are before I took any class, so I really didn't know what I was doing.
