# About me
I have been an artist all my life. Early on in my DeviantArt history, I focused almost exclusively on photography. Now I paint. My inspiration for all I do is the Baha'i Faith, a world religion for our modern crazy existence that will guide humanity into spiritual maturity. I have tremendous hope for the future, even in the face of the absurdity and catastrophe that surrounds us. But, we cannot just sit back and wait for heaven to come to earth--we have to build it, step by step.
"O My Servant! Free thyself from the fetters of this world, and loose thy soul from the prison of self. Seize thy chance, for it will come to thee no more." - Baha'u'llah

Amazing! work. well done
I have the same camera (nikon 7900), how do you get the lighting so perfect?
Tutorial! tutorial! tutorial!

Jericha In reply to traviss [2005-10-13 01:06:00 +0000 UTC]
Oooo, tutorial, good idea! I really haven't been doing anything fancy... everything macro has a bright flourescent desk lamp beating down from right next to it, and other stuff gets tweaked in Photoshop until it looks the way I want it.
Thank you!

I find it alittle hard to believe you've gotten such high quality pictures from a Nikon coolpix camera. You've proven to me that simple point and shoot cameras can do some amazing work~
(I wonder though, maybe the one you use is a higher end point and shoot camera...)

Jericha In reply to kosarai [2005-08-03 08:40:54 +0000 UTC]
Well thank you so much! The camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix. It's the best Coolpix available right now, but it's still just a $400 cheap thing. A lot of the polish on my deviations comes from Photoshop. The Coolpix gives me the clarity I want, and then I deal with it from there on the computer. Here, your comment inspired me to put together a comparison that you might find interesting: [link]
