LOL this might seem like a very stupid question, but I'm new to the whole "adoptable" thing so could you please explain what a custom is

it's fine ^-^ A custom is when you make a character or somebody useing the details they give you
for example (using my Ponysona)
me: i would like a white unicorn with a blue eye (left) and a red white and blue eye (right). or the hair i'd like it mint green and ice blue. for the cutiemark i'd like a heart with a black outline.can she be a female? and i'd name her Icyheart
