# About me

I originally got interested in art around April of 2011 when I started playing around with an old hand-me-down tablet from my dad. I really didn't know much, and I hadn't drawn anything in long time. Art in highschool soured the art experience for me, but the dream of working in the game and movie industry surpassed that.
As time progressed I realized how important a solid foundation in art was if I really wanted to get good instead of just drawing randomly on the computer. By October 2011, I had finally set my mind up that art was definitely something I wanted to pursue, no matter how much I had once thought to dislike it. I knew it had become a new passion of mine. And thus started my journey of sleepless nights struggling to balance school, art time and regular life responsibilities.
It gets tough sometimes, and I feel like giving up, but I'm constantly inspired by whats around me and the abundance of art and helpful artists throughout the internet.
I'm learning everyday (:

Also note, I don't post much of my studies/sketches here, but I will start to post them to my blog more often. So if you don't mind some crappy drawings and me ranting at myself, click on down the link below :)

Heyyy Jessi! =) (Smile) I'm glad you found the tut useful For 3D if you keep persisting with it, you get past the frustration, and it becomes more creative once that happens. I struggled in the first year of Uni because I wasn't used to 3DS Max. But if you keep making things and watching tutorials, then it becomes alot more fun =) (Smile) I also look at alot of Dominance War stuff to keep me motivated, check it out here if you're interested - [link]

I understand what your saying. I really want to learn 3D, I just oughta schedule in more time to be persistent with learning it. Thanks for the advice.
Oh, I have heard of Dominance War, I just dont know much about it. I have seen some of the incredible artwork before though. Are they 3D renders or paintings, or both?

There's 2D (which is the concept art side of the comp, painting), and then obviously the 3d. Totally look into it and push yourself always! Go go go!
