Color and shadow, eh. Alright.
Take one of your favorite artists' pictures
and one of your digital arts; put them together in
a file. Take your eye dropper and place both
pictures' colors into two color palettes to
compare next to each other.
Pay attention to the hue, saturation, and values
thy used for their base+shadow+highlights.
Then write down(or type) at least three things you
learned.

My old mentoring technique is this:
Gave her a picture of a hand with a grid on it.

And an empty grid for her to copy the hand onto

It's a really good exercise, but you get bored too easily.
(me for example but I did the exercises too
to make sure it wasn't too boring XD)

[link] Did it! It too me longer than I thought but I learned some new things. I think my tones are too muted.
I was thinking of doing one for digital and another for traditional but when I did the color picker it was basically the same thing.
Also I used a painter from DA called 'Seriousbreakfeasttime' since her watch her lives like crazy XD

It's good to follow artists that you aspire to. :T They really give you a perspective
on how much better you can be if you learn from them.
Good job; I hope you can apply what you learned to your next work
Let's do a second one; this time I suggest you choose an artwork that's more similar
to yours in color scheme so you can do a closer comparison. * U *
Maybe someone who did a Gengar gijinka like you
An artist that I really really love also did Madoka so I compared them and
was shocked ... XD Learned a lot more from this than the 1st one [link]

I did the color thing in sai and it jumped everywhere but I opened it in painter and the colors on both the images were on the left of the color wheel and went down. The hues jumped though. So ignore my first line on the pictures.

but YES! Jumping the hues is very important when it
comes to coloring shadows.
Is there anything you'd like to learn/study more about

I had a table but had to give it up cos my buddy had more important shet but I'll still (try) to go to party and see the other artist there mainly the ones who don't just draw.

The knots and adding string make me want to kill myself at times but I do like one thing a week unless it's small like earrings. You should pick it up, it'd be nice to have someone to discuss bead work with.
