Hi
Have you done any pics of the nsd in classic 'genesis' color scheme? Β Thought the new design was good but never really liked the bronze
Thanks!

I'm afraid I haven't done a proper nsd model yet. I may get around to it one day, and if I do I shall try and remember to render one in genesis colours.

Have you considered making a Next-gen era ship from a ToS point-of-view?Β As in, what if there had been an episode with Kirk & co that involved a federationΒ vessel from 100 years in their own future?Β How would the production designers of ToS have imagined a ship from that era?Β It'd be interesting to see what you'd make of such a situation.

Now that's a very interesting idea. What would Matt Jeffries have imagined a 24th century ship would look like? It will need a lot of thought though

Hi Jim, are you aware that one of your dalek pictures from your site has been uploaded by someone else onΒ deviantart?

Just thought i'd let you know.

I didn't know, thanks for pointing it out. It would have been nice if the person who posted it had been a little clearer about it not being his own work, but he did at least include a link to my website, so I'm reasonably content. At least he's not printing the image on t-shirts and selling them on ebay, like one person did.
Thanks again

Not sure, my last couple of attempts at a new dalek picture never really went anywhere. It's like that sometimes; I get an idea but I just can't make it work. Hopefully I'll manage to do something in the not too distant future.

Have you ever considered doing a fixed version of the Paradigm Daleks? I was having a look at a few of them just now from other users and i suddenly wondered, with some of your hybrids on your site, what a paradigm should look like if you were to ever do one.

Interesting. I have seen fixed versions of the new paradigm that look rather good, so maybe it would be fun to do one of my own. However it won't be any time soon as I'm in the middle of Star Trek stuff right now. I will probably feel like doing a new dalek model at some point though, and maybe this could be it. Thanks for the suggestion, I will try to keep it in mind .

I have started work on the model. It's already a bit different to what I originally envisaged, but going well I think. [link]

Forget what I said about the ventilation holes in my previous comment, they do serve a purpose (the small holes at the front at least). I don't know what that purpose is, but that hardly matters.

Yes, that looks very much like what I had in mind. I'm not sure about the ventilation holes; they look cool but serve no obvious purpose on a paintball gun. I like the coiled air hose though, it will be hard to build but I will definitely have to try it.

Love the website man. Ive been keeping a keen eye on it for several years.
How come we havent seen any Russel T Davies or Steven Moffat Daleks from you in recent years? I would have thought you would have jumped at the chance

Jim197 In reply to OwenDWF1 [2011-07-25 12:01:54 +0000 UTC]
Thanks, I'm glad you like the website.
I made a start on the Russel T Davies Dalek a while back, but I got sidetracked by something else and never finished it. Maybe I'll get back to it one day.
As for the Steven Moffat Dalek, it will need to grow on me a lot more before I would attempt it. I just don't like the shape. I think Librarian-bot's version looks much better [link] ; in fact I don't really think I can match it.
