It was really awesome, indeed.
The crowd got wild. Something was one of the highest moments in show, and he did played it in the beginning of the song with an ukelele, e then switched to the guitar. George would have loved to see that. I wish that more people had the opportunity to watch him.

Here in Brazil, in São Paulo were two concerts. The tickets from the first one vanished, the second was fast, but I don't know in exactly what time. It would start to sell the tickets at 8 o' clock and at 8:01 I had bought mine.
I loved Something, Hey Jude, Let it Be(this one was almost impossible to not get emocional, cell phones in the air, Paul singing a capella) also Paperback Writer (he said that he used the guitar he was playing in the recording of that song. I have a passion for the riffs of Paperback, so I screamed. Hard.) A Day in the Life was mesmerizing.

I probably didn't say you. We just left the queue to go to the bathroom (we had to walk to the nearest restaurant). I was at the queue of the gate 2. There was a serious mess with the gate 4.
Portuguese is often hard to learn (to non native speakers) there's many nasalized sounds as "bread" that you don't find in English. When I was a child, starting to learn English, they didn't teach the correct pronunciation. I pretty much learned it by watching movies and series and listening to music. I like better the British accent, but I have to practice a little bit more. I prefer reading "duty" than "doody".

I always thought portuguese was hard, but I never imagined that English would be hard!
Now that I think about it, my cousin does have some problems with ''th..''
Also I always read doody,I think it's involuntary!
Ps:.Would you mind if I added you as a friend?

JoannaDalleth In reply to Exploding-Muffin [2010-12-18 15:13:39 +0000 UTC]
For portuguese native speakers, to get the accent right, is really hard. The "th" problem is because you have to put the tongue close to your teeth, and there's portuguese word that this movement is needed.
I wouldn't mind at all, I'll add you too.

Wow never realized the tongue stuff!
But quick question is it worth it to live in Sao Paulo for a couple of months?Like would it improve my portuguese? My cousin offered and im really in doubt!!
Ps:Is The Who really coming to Brazil!

JoannaDalleth In reply to Exploding-Muffin [2010-12-19 13:35:21 +0000 UTC]
It depends, I think. Is your situation in UK good? If your work or school allow you to do so, I think it would be cool. You would improve your portuguese here, it's always better in practice with native speakers. I like living here, I wouldn't move to any other city in Brazil. Sure that there is places with more natural beauty, for example, but São Paulo has a huge cultural diversity.
I didn't knew about The Who coming to Brazil! I'm going to make a search about it right away.

JoannaDalleth In reply to Exploding-Muffin [2010-12-19 18:32:46 +0000 UTC]
It is like other big cities - they have the same problem, I think. That's also very relative, depends on what area you will live, and what cares do you take. There is another point, I don't know where you live, if it's in a very calm city, I'm sure you will get surprised with things here; if you are from a city like London you won't get so surprised. That's a hard question, because I don't feel that is so dangerous, nor that is absolutely safe. For me, it's on a normal range, but I never left the country. Hm, compared with Rio or Fortaleza, I think São Paulo is safer.
I'm afraid I didn't answered your question very well. I'm sorry.
Yeah, I saw some things that they'd come for the SWU festival, but they didn't came.
And Sir Paul is something pretty to say, indeed.

I live in Bolton (Manchester)
Ever heard of it?It's relatively
calm for a *ahem* BIG CITY (they call it that,I disagree)
I understood,Thank you! It's just that my aunt got robbed when walking Lola (the dog). And what is Fortaleza?
I heard rumors from the lads back home 'bout The Who!Wish they were true
Ps: Boy I do miss home...
Pss:I should've said this before but...Your english is impecable!!

I heard about Manchester.
To get robbed happens. I guess I'm lucky, I never got robbed.
Fortaleza is a brazilian city located in the northeast region of the country. Many tourists go there (I am one of them), because of the beauty of the beaches in the city and the ones next to it. But the criminality there is big. My godmother was taking pictures of her little son in Praia do Futuro (a urban beach there), and a woman told her to leave, because she listened to a boy saying he was going to rob her camera.
I need to know it. I'm already going to miss U2 and Muse (Muse'll open U2 concert), my dad told me that there is no more tickets. A concert that I'd loved to have gone (I hope this sentence is right) was Rolling Stones na Praia de Copacabana (praia means beach). It was free, and over a million people were there. I only saw it in the telly.
Is really boring to feel homesick. And I don't know about you, but I hate the hot weather here. I believe Bolton would have a nice, cold (snowy?) weather by now...
Thank you very much. I need to practice talking more, though.

Oh so sad 'bout your godmother!Well at least the kind lady warned her!
But it's weird ya know? Not being able to walk down the streets!
There me and the girls would take the tube nearby our school to the cinemaworld!
How is it here? Do you and your friends take the subway too?
Oh It'd be so great if we could attend to all shows we wanted, but unfortunely we can't!!But Rolling Stones?Free?Beach?!! That's my very own heaven right there!
That and a younger Mick
My friends keep reminding me that it'll snow this week,so I get homesick, but all in all the weather's fine!Yeah sometimes it gets hot (so hot) but it's better than the usual 23F!!
But yeah, I do miss my friends a whole bunch (especially the snow fights !!)
Have u ever seen snow?
You're welcome,unfortunely I can't say about your talking!But I bet you're being humble!
PS:A concert I would have loved to have gone is better

Wow, it's not like you're unable to walk on the streets. Not here, at least. Subway, all the time. Especially if it's somewhere far, like the Morumbi Stadium (though that the place is so far away, that we used bus to get there). The traffic to get there by car is horrible. Anyway, I use the subway all the time.
Sure, I think that is download available here - [link]
I'm downloading it myself. I want to see it again.
And younger Mick is awesome. You're right - heaven.
): I never saw snow. I'd love to. Snow fights must be an incredible fun. I really don't like the hot weather.
Thank you for the tip. I get confused sometimes. (Is tip right? 'Cause I know it can mean, for an example, restaurant tips. (I'm not sure. In portuguese we have different words for each kind of "tip")

Ah Morumbi Stadium!Good times indeed (you know what im talking 'bout right? )
Ah younger Mick [link]
Younger Paul [link]
Younger Keith Moon [link]
Especially Keith Moon (I have something with puppy eyes )
I LOVE the heat here in Sampa (my cousin taught me,isn't it cute?)
Swimming in cold pools to cool off!We don't have that in England!
We have snow ball fights but you have splash fights!
Of course sometimes it does tend to get too hot!
But still swimming with my cousin and her friends is too cool!
Wish I could do it in England with the lads!
But while they 're rotting in the cold winterstorm!
Im drinking coconut water (delicious am I right?) in 78F
Tip can either mean helpful advice or short amount of money you give waitresses
(sorry I dont think I helped a lot )
Ps:Just to clarify, at some point I said Tube instead of subway, while tube is a slang for subway it's more commonly used in London so don't be surprised if you go to UK and they don't say Tube, K?
Pss:I'm going to Mina for XMAS (more family stuff) so if I dont talk to you again I would like to wish you an
Psss:Yes I'm abusing the PLZ stuff

Got the tip thing. YAAY. And the tube thing. YAAAY again.
Yeah, you're right about the splash thing, but I'd loove to have a snowfight. Both are good.
Coconut Water is absolutely delicious. The word Sampa is really, really cool. There's even a song called like that from Caetano Veloso.
Merry Christmas to you, too!!
