I then read your front page and noticed that the !CHINESE-MAFIA family had got here before me. That is unfortunate. I am normally the voice of reason and try to be their damage limitation. You have incurred much wrath it seems my friend.

The point of the !CHINESE-MAFIA is not as you put it, to attack. We are a collective. We are the art equivalent of the Wu Tang Clan. We are all artists in our own right as has been pointed out in a previous post. We have two published photographers. A published Haiku poet. Published Anime/Cartoon artists. Pop-Art artists… and people of lesser but growing skills of no lesser worth. Like the Wu Tang Clan, although we have differing skills and different lives and cultures, collectively we ARE the !CHINESE-MAFIA and we work well together to create a Pop-Art culture rather than a Pop-Art page. We are an idea expressed through the medium of the internet.

Where we differ within dA from other ‘clubs’ is that we’re not in this for page views or to ooh and aah over another badly drawn picture of Edward Elric. We are in this to create something that is bigger than the sum of it’s parts. We create on our own yet become one to create something different or to defend either the cause or our members.

If people like yourself choose not to ‘get’ our philosophy that is your right. If you disagree with our art that is your right too. But at the age of 22 you should by now have learnt the values of self censorship, decency and common sense. If you don’t like something the best thing to do is stop looking and walk away. It’s the first thing our Goons are taught in their first martial arts lesson. The man that walks away lives to see another day. The man that walks away lives to fight another day.

On the whole we take criticism against us well. You have to look at each of us to understand the whole and we understand that not everyone will give us that chance. After all, we are on dA a community and within that community are differing ages, classes, races and intelligences. We walk away. We walk away until such a time that the person that dislikes what we do becomes a thorn in our side. Then we retaliate. Like the tiger walking through the forest.
