You asked for responses in the DAS journal, but as you may or may not know, DAS blocks and hides all opposition.
What you said was all nice, and reasonable...except this is an art site. People want to see art. Nobody wants people to be depressed, but there are MUCH better places for it, on the internet (though not by a lot), and in real life.

Here's to hoping they don't end up hiding any of my responses. If so, there's not much I can do which is the sad truth.
The only problem with the better places is people either don't know about them or are cowards when getting real help. Which is why I think talking about it, anywhere, is the best first step. If art can be brought into the equation, I think DAS would be a lot more successful and I think it would make the majority of people and a lot happier about the situation.
Just to ask for your personal opinion. Do you think if the secrets were more artistic more people would be supportive of DAS? I've been skimming through comments and that just seems to be the major thing that keeps popping up with the opposition.

We want them to be 'art' full stop. 'More artistic' is a pretty vague term that they try to get away with. Basically, we don't care so much about the subject; teen angst is annoying sure, but we'd rather it was submitted as art or poetry than just screen captured. That sucks.

I usually end up skipping over the screencapped secrets. I've even gotten to the point that I ignore secrets if they have certain phrases or colors/images because they end up being about the same thing.
Okay I can see how you guys can get annoyed over it all. I think you guys are really onto something. Maybe DAS will get the hint and do something about the secrets having an artistic element to them.

Gotcha. The hater bit DAS was going on about sounded a bit weird to me. I figured they just hid the comments that got out of hand.
Though the reason I wrote my initial comment was just to kind of steer people in the direction that DAS is a good idea. I didn't even really think much about the politics involved with it.
